BarCampMilwaukee2

BarCampMilwaukee2 is less than a month away (Saturday October 13th, 2007 through Sunday October 14th, 2007). The group has a goal of at least 200 people (as of today 81 are registered). I was part of the group that participated in the event last year which was held at Bucketworks (in Milwaukee). Bucketworks has since relocated and is not quite ready to start hosting events at their new location. As a result, the group has worked out some arrangements in Shlitz Park. Since it's a secure location (someone has to be at the door to let people in), you'll have to register if you want to attend. Simply go here: http://barcampmilwaukee.com/user/register and become part of the event.

Why would you want to go to BarCampMilwaukee? I found it to be an interesting gathering of tech people (and some not so tech people) in a relaxed atmosphere. Fun was had by most (if not all). There were robots! Robots always are fun. Food (need I say more? There was food--I like food. Food is good.) Just about everyone I that I know who attended last year will be back for the second go around. (Tom has some lame excuse about a brother's birthday party or something like that...guess you're off the hook). Go to meet some new people. Learn from others and perhaps teach someone something they may not have known before they met you.
