Winter storm "Grace" graced us with some lovely snow which I found after returning from Manitowoc today. We stayed in Manitowoc last night after my grandpa's wake because the people who predict these things claimed that it would snow. Well, they actually knew what they were talking about this time (for a change). We ended up with around 6 inches by Wed morning, and just around 11 inches by the time I got back here. (see the attached pictures). About half way down, they announced on the radio that I-43 was "impassable" in Sheboygan County. With the lovely glaze of ice under the sloppy snow that wasn't yet plowed, I advised Lisa to stay in Manitowoc over night.
Luckily, when I arrived, the neighbor was nice enough to have his drive way cleared. I parked in his drive while I proceeded to remove the snow. I probably should have knocked down the stuff hanging on the gutter, but decided it looked nice (for now).
This is what a normal, real snow even should be like around here.
