Criminals do! How many more years do we have to live with this egg-headed Governor? Governor James Doyle (Wis. Flaming Liberal) in his latest move announces his plans to implement gun control initiatives in the state. His claim is that this will somehow help reduce violent crime in Milwaukee. Does he really think that criminals buy their guns through legal methods? If that's his honest opinion, he has more screws loose than I thought! Think about it. It's more likely that a criminal would obtain his gun perhaps through another crime or buy it from another criminal.

Here are his plans:

Require ballistic finger printing
Prohibit sales to persons under 21
and "allow cities across the state to set their own gun control laws".

This quote really shows his stupidity:

"What is needed in the city of Milwaukee is very different than what is needed in a small town in northern Wisconsin."

OK so if you follow that logic, Joe Criminal should go to some podunk town in northern Wisconsin and buy his guns up there because, presumably, their laws would be more relaxed than what he might find in Milwaukee.

I for one would much rather see the damn laws of this country enforced before new laws are added to the pile of laws that are not followed. A look at the recent top 10 most wanted for Sheboygan county consistently has 8 of the 10 of Hispanic descent. Now I have no way of knowing if these people are here legally or illegally. Considering that they have broken some additional laws, you might conclude that there is at least some probability that they are not legal citizens of the US. Enforce immigration. Enforce does not mean naturalize anyone that is currently here illegally. Enforce the laws that we're currently not enforcing. Cut the waste out of certain social programs and use that money to pay for additional law enforcement officers and actually enforce the damn laws!

Either way, restricting gun sales is NOT going to reduce crimes. Period!
