We're now about a year away from electing another President. The democrats are down to two potential candidates, both of which I believe would speed the demise of the United States of America as we once knew it. We, as a country, are in danger of losing our identity and failing the promise of those who risked their lives to found this once great nation. We can regain our greatness (and I don't mean military supremacy), but it will take a ground roots effort and time. We are a country founded on religious freedom, not freedom FROM religion. So many people are afraid to say that. In God We Trust. One Nation Under God. We have become a weak nation in part because we are afraid to remember these facts correctly. The failing of the traditional family unit, dilution of our traditional values and lack of personal responsibility add to our weakness as a nation.
Of the Republican candidates, several of the major candidates have questionable repute in these areas as well. The current forerunner, Giuliani, is one of the weakest in these areas. While he may have more conservative views than Clinton, his idea of the family and sanctity of life issues is a joke. Mitt Romney has a past that will always be questioned. Where does he really stand?
