Guns don't kill people!

Criminals do! How many more years do we have to live with this egg-headed Governor? Governor James Doyle (Wis. Flaming Liberal) in his latest move announces his plans to implement gun control initiatives in the state. His claim is that this will somehow help reduce violent crime in Milwaukee. Does he really think that criminals buy their guns through legal methods? If that's his honest opinion, he has more screws loose than I thought! Think about it. It's more likely that a criminal would obtain his gun perhaps through another crime or buy it from another criminal.

Recurring theme in titles

I just realized that there's been a very seasonal recurring theme in the titles. Looking at that it seems that life is just flying by. Sometimes that's good, sometimes bad. With everything we've had going on, we really need to take time to slow down and enjoy things. It hasn't been all work, but I have been working alot, probably more than I should be.

Where did summer go?

Today was a typical Monday. Plan on being at one place at 10am, only to end up still at another unplanned place at 1pm. It all worked out fine because the place I originally was headed to in the morning forgot I was coming! Eventually this craziness should end or at least become more managed, just not on a Monday.

Spring is upon us

It's finally feeling like spring. It's been warm for the last few weeks, but we're finally finding the time to start doing some things outside (like cutting the grass, starting the garden, doing my mom's roof...). Lisa's wrapping up her classes for this year. Hopefully there really are only 2 more years left ;)

Where did the winter go (or why is it still winter)

So it's been a while since I've updated the site with anything of real substance. Many of the things that were going to get done over the winter months didn't (yet). Perhaps that's the reason for the extended cold weather? We're supposedly getting an inch of snow tonight. April and we're getting snow? Makes me feel like I'm still in Houghton.

Old Website

The old website is available here. It was easier to do that then to try importing the old entries. Drupal is able to import from several other blog-type software packages, but the blogger import plugin hasn't yet been updated to the latest version of Drupal.

New Website

I'm in the process of migrating this website to Drupal. Eventually, I hope to copy the data from the old website. Blogspot was not as user friendly. So far, Drupal appears to be easy to work with.
